Friday morn

My throat hurts, my head hurts, my wrist hurts, I keep typing "hurst" instead of "hurts", and for some reason coffee has been tasting like toxic sewage all week. I wonder if it's all the mucus I keep swallowing or honking out of my nose.

Belated Thursday PM

'Tis the next day now, but we did quite a bit of running hither and yon yesterday. Cici's was our lunch spot -- I do not particularly enjoy pizza, but that didn't stop me from eating an uncomfortable amount at the buffet. I did begin with a tiny salad just to cleanse my palate, but then I shoved chicken/bacon pizza, pepperoni w/white sauce pizza, ham/pineapple pizza, hamburger w/white sauce pizza, spinach pizza, apple dowdy pizza, cinnamon sticky rolls, and brownies all down my gullet, right on top of the salad. Dr. Pepper helped it all stick together.

Later, I spent a quarter on a small handful of peanut M&M's. Ain't the mall grand?

For dinner, we hit the old Chik-fil-a. I had a 12-piece with waffle fries and a diet dr p. Even though I was full, I had to order a cookies-cream shake because Dana had one. I finished it off while the kids were playing in the habitrail. I was full halfway through it, but I forced it all down. Yay me.

After midnight, I ate a couple slices of fudge pie and about six or seven mini Baby Ruths. My belly hurt when I went to bed. Ay caramba.

Wednesday PM -- late late late

Pie. Pie. I like pie. Snickers, Paydays, and spiced cider are all good in the hood also.

Wednesday PM

Well, post-Christmas frenzy has set in. I'm tired from all the opening and assembling and gathering all the paper/plastic/wire oddbits that came with all the kids' gifts. We hauled in a bunch of candy also, but luckily the dog has been chewing on most of that. I'm still working on the popcorn in the big tin, but it will be gone soon.

I began the day with my routine coffee (3 cups today) and then moved to hot chocolate (2 cups) and Diet Pepsi Max. Woot! I was going for poptarts but instead ate some breakfast pizza that Dane heated up. Our stove's element burst yesterday, so no baking will be done in our house anytime soon. Oh snap, just when I had the yen to make some no-bake cookies. Hmm. Maybe we could still do those since they don't actually require baking. I guess we can't bake any wild boar or tom turkeys though. Oh well...

Peanuts and popcorn have been regular snacks for me this week, but I also gobbled up Aidan and Savannah's Swedish Fish after we left Walgreens. We'd ventured out to look for stove parts and also to have a LNP examine Dane's parts. She's been feeling a mite poorly these days. After the fish candy, we went to McD's to spend some of our gift cards. I chose a #2 with Diet Dr P. I didn't upsize. Yay for will power! Anyway, it's a waste because I always end up finishing up what the kids don't eat. I chose not to order dessert and ate most of Aidan's and Savannah's kiddie cones.

Now here it is, close to bedtime. I have another dp max on the desk and the popcorn tin ready at my right hand. Silas just came in a few minutes ago with a sandwich he prepared for me: his traditional nighttime snack -- ketchup between 2 hamburger buns. He handed me mine with a big smile, and my first reaction was YUCK! Especially when he said that he'd added mustard to mine. Dane fussed at him a little for messing with the hamburger buns since they were for burgers later on, and I didn't really want to eat it. But since he was so considerate and nice to make me a sandwich, I thanked him and ate my special Silas sandwich. It wasn't that bad. It had a good ketchup-mustard ratio. Could've used some cheese though. Silas may end up being a cooler Emeril Lagasse.

Belated Christmas Night

On Christmas, of course, meals have to be factored in with the family and presents.

I had two large meals -- one at Papa's and the other at Neena's. They both were quite tastiful.

At Papa's, I loaded an odd square plate with ham, broccoli-rice casserole, sausage warp biscuits (or something), 7-up salad (w/no cheese!!), rolls, hash brown casserole, carrots with ranch dip, mashed potatoes, and diet cola. Actually, the diet cola was in a cup and not on the plate. That would've been gross. Following a few magic tricks with the classic cups and balls, I enjoyed some fudge pie, chocolate chess pie, white coconut cake, peanut butter balls, peanuts, cashews, almonds, and some kind of peanutty chess brownie bar thing. I didn't really care for that last thing. Bleck. Of course, I drank heavily all afternoon, but nothing stronger than Diet Dr. Pepper.

From Papa's, we moved northeast to Gallatin where Neena had prepared our Christmas dinner. Ham made it to my plate again, as did broccoli-cheese casserole and rolls. Green beans were there, so I ate some. I also had some mashed potato casserole with bacon bits and stuff on top of it. Everything was quite edible and tasty. We had no cakes or pies after presents; instead, she had made some trifle out of cherry preserves, walnuts, other things, and ladyfingers. I ate my portion. Then, I ate Aidan's after he decided that one lick was all he wanted. Then, I ate Savannah's after she abandoned it. Then, I ate what was left of Silas's after he picked out the cherries. Then, I ate Silas's second helping after he picked out the cherries. Grrr.

Anyway, after we rolled home in the van, I somehow managed to drink spiced cider and gorge myself with popcorn. Happy holidays indeed. :-)

Christmas Alpha

So far so good...I've had coffee and poptarts. My children are enjoying their presents. Dana and I have opened our Winter's Veil gifts in Ironforge. Happiest of all, I need to defecate. Thank you, Father Christmas!!

Belated Christmas Eve Beta

It's the next day now, but last night I ate way too much. We went to my parents' house and had a nice feast before we opened gifts. I had many slices of ham (with cranberry mustard), three crescent rolls (or maybe four), green beans, mashed potatoes, a can-shaped circle of cranberry sauce, some orange cool whippy something, and two meatballs that Mom made for my dad that Silas rejected. Afterwards, I had some yellow cake with chocolate icing, vanilla ice cream, and peanut butter pie.

Of course, this wasn't enough, so when I got home, I made sure to bloat myself with lots of soft drink and popcorn (caramel, cheddar, and regular). Happy Holidays!

Oh yeah, I also ate Santa's oatmeal pie. Heh heh...
